About the concept
At each of my travel destinations I will stay for 7 to 14 days. During this time I set myself the task of designing a dance costume that fits the location and on top, I also plan to sew it at the location. In detail it looks something like this:
- Day 1 - Exploring my environment and finding inspiration
- Day 2 - Turning inspirations into dancedress designs for skating, latin or ballroom dancing.
- Day 3 and 4 - Pattern drawing and finding the right fabrics.
- Day 5 to 14 - Realising the design, make the dress come to life!
My goal is to finish the dresses on site. Because in the next town a new inspiration will be waiting to be transformed into a dance dress.
